Dr. Maharjan is a Soil and Nutrient Management Specialist at Panhandle Research and Extension Center at University of Nebraska, U.S. He earned B.S. in Environmental Control in Moscow, Russia, M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of North Dakota, U.S. and Ph.D. in Land and Atmospheric Science from the University of Minnesota, U.S. His research focus and interests extend across agronomy, soils and environmental disciplines with particular emphasis on issues related to soil fertility and nutrient management, air and water quality, greenhouse gas emissions, and precision agriculture. He participated in U.S. national programs such as National Water Quality Assessment (NAWQA) and Greenhouse gas Reduction through Agricultural Carbon Enhancement network (GRACEnet). Dr. Maharjan regularly present research papers at international conferences and has published in world-renowned scientific journals such as Agronomy Journal, Soil Biology and Biochemistry, and Journal of Environmental Quality. Dr Mahajan’s insight to environmental issues brings value to AHF projects and its quality execution.
